Hey there guys!

Aside from my character drawings I work at the very cool Klei Entertainment and a game I worked on came out and I had a blast making it! It's called Griftlands and it's a "deck-building roguelite where you negotiate, fight, steal or otherwise persuade others to get your way." I did a bunch of design work, art and gameplay and worked with a really amazing team, it's available on a bunch of platforms but here's a good ol' steam link. Thanks for checking it out!

Hey Guys!

After almost 3 years of hard work our game Viking Squad is out! It's a fun, arcade throwback to brawlers with a lane based approach to combat. It's built by a core group of 3 people out of Vancouver Canada with sound from Power Up Audio and music from A Shell In The Pit. Holy crap is developing a game a ton of hard work!

I like to think that alot of my influences and confidence was forged in the art section here on newgrounds. Adding art for the sake of art and getting you guys to comment on it or send me the odd message of support really helped so thanks to everybody at Newgrounds!

so here's the link to Steam and the link to the PS4 store.

Launching is a scary time for any developer. Thanks for dropping by!

Hey Guys!

Been far too long since Iv'e done one of these! I just got home from the best PAX ever. Crypt of the Necrodancer showed super well and we had such a crazy time there showing it to everyone. The DDR pad was busted out (replaced by a better one from a Local fan, thanks David!) and tons and tons of dancers hit it up and rocked it! A huge thanks to Brace Yourself Games (Ryan Clark) and the super awesome Ted Martensfor being such an awesome team! I feel like our Team is so freaking stacked I had to drop by here and just say it. Danny B (from super meatboy) on the soundtrack, Kevin Regamey of Powerup Audio powerupaudio.com/

also we JUST released this trailer that's super cool! I'l also try and post up the concept work I've been doing right here.

so drop by and check it out! Thanks so much guys.

Necrodancer at PAX PRIME! (2013)

Hey Guys,

So my game came out!

I'm super excited about it and worked really hard the last 6 months on it. It was probably the best experience I've ever had working on anything. I drew absolutely everything in the game and we built it with a super small team in a tight 6 months. There is a ton of myself in this game and it's got me really nervous/excited about what people think of it.

Anyways I wanted to drop you guys a line now that it's out! The Newgrounder crews always drop me the odd line and give me a boost so thanks for all your help!

Shellrazer Release Date!

Posted by jouste - June 19th, 2012

Hey all! I rarely write these things but I had a ton of fun last weekend building a game in 48 hours!

It was super fun and we had a great team of 3 guys.
Nick Waanders (Code), Kevin Regamey (Sound), and me for the art.

the voices (all awesome) were:
Stephanie Komure, Colin Regamey, and Joshua Matumona.

and the sweet music was done by:
Riley Koenig

The theme was "Alternate Universes" So we made a game about an ogre that has to exterminate the horde of princesses in a castle.

It's caled "Princess, Die" and here's a video of it!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqDJdmBvv1c&featu re=share

and here's some stills!

48 hours isn't a lot of time so you really need to just get as much done as you can as fast as you can. I learned a ton of stuff that will help make our next platformer super cool! thanks for checking it out guys!

48 Hour Fullindie game jam

Posted by jouste - March 4th, 2012

Hey all!

So I've been super busy lately but for good reason! I just got hired on by Slick Entertainment (the guys responsible for N+ on the Xbox and Scrap Metal) and am doing all the art for a new IOS game! It really is the greatest job I've ever gotten, I'll be posting up all the art here but I've also been posting a Dev Blog weekly on all the progress! Check them all out here!

It's a great game where you are a giant turtle with cannon's on your back that you can customize as you explode your way thorough a whole pile of levels! There will be a lot more stuff coming and I wanted to thank everyone for following my stuff and there will be a lot more coming. stay cool everyone!
